Since 1896, the Summer Games have been an important part of world history and have had a great impact on our global culture. Sharing the stage with some of the world’s most famous athletes and their triumphant stories, have been the host cities. From Athens, Greece at the first games in 1896, all the way to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil for this year’s games, the Summer Games have been held in 18 countries all over the globe.
