Hall of Famer and baseball’s “Iron Man,” Cal Ripken Jr. is one of the most memorable athletes of his time. Born in Maryland and famous for his time spent with Baltimore Orioles, his sprawling, 25-acre estate has become available through Monument Sotheby’s International Realty.

Originally built in 1985, the six-bedroom, 10-bathroom home was renovated in the 1990’s and features a home theater, gym, indoor basketball court, batting cage and locker room.

The elegantly designed home theater features its own box office, stage and seating for more than 10.

Not surprisingly the home pays homage to baseball with its very own diamond and monument commemorating Ripken’s 2,131 consecutive games played, the record-breaking moment that solidified him as a living legend in the sport.

According to the Baltimore Sun, “Ripken purchased the land in 1984 for $215,000. The property is now valued by the state for tax purposes at just over $2 million.”
